Exhibition: 7 June – 7 July 2013

Exhibiting is a negotiation with the surroundings. Place, audience, confrontation, and an exhibition’s transformative qualities challenge a central nerve within my work. I view the exhibition as a coded tradition of form and law, which constitutes an opportunity of artistic experience and excess. My years in London during the ‘90s and subsequent travels in Greenland, Syria and Sweden have increased my interests in three basic conditions for visual production:

–   language as syntax and phonetics and its use of pronouns

–   the planet’s raw materials relating to landscape as image

–   the curious influence of weather in aesthetics
