Going Places was a three year partnership programme with All Change funded through the Arts Council and Baring Foundation's Celebrating Age fund.

The programme was designed to extend, strengthen and share our projects with older people especially those in care or sheltered acommodation settings. It culminated in a month-long festival programme of events and workshops, and a publication launch in 2019.

In the context of severe cuts to the care system in the UK and a steep rise in living costs for artists in London it was vital to demonstrate, document and celebrate the unique collaborations developed through Cubitt's programme for and with older people.

The Going Places programme encompassed monthly Saturday sessions at Cubitt with Lucy Steggals, twice-monthly outreach sessions in sheltered accommodation settings with Ania Bas, and twice-yearly projects with The Mildmays and Lennox House care settings, as well as three public art commissions with artists including Elsa James.

The Going Places festival in October 2019 included artist talks, hosted trips to galleries, workshops in sheltered accommodation settings, satellite studio tours and a dance party in a care setting.
