Due to the ongoing situation of Covid-19 we have implemented a number of changes to the way we welcome our visitors to keep you and our staff safe.

These include: advanced booking, timed visiting slots, maximum number of people in the gallery, wearing of face masks and hand sanitiser distribution points.

We have compiled some FAQs below to help you plan your visit.

Should you have any further questions contact us at [email protected].

Please be aware that we work part time and are working the majority of that time at home, so may take slightly longer than usual to respond to your message.

Thank you for your understanding.

How do I book my visit?

Bookings for Cubitt Gallery can be made via Eventbrite. Booking slots are for 45 mins. You must arrive within 10 minutes of the start time of your booked slot and leave promptly, before the end of the slot.

What happens if I am late?

If you are late (after the 10 minutes arrival time) we reserve the right to let someone else in if there is someone waiting- you will lose your space. If no-one else has taken your slot, or the time slot is not fully booked, you can still enter. You will still have to leave at the end of your booked visiting time.

How do I reschedule or change my booking slot if I change my mind?

You can amend or cancel your booking using the same booking method. We encourage you cancel your booking if you can no longer attend so your visiting time can be made available to someone else.

The exhibition is on for 2 months. When do tickets get made available for later in the run?

We are staggering the release of the tickets so we easily respond to any adjustments of Government guidelines with regards to Covid-19. Please check our facebook, twitter and instagram pages for updates.

Do I need to wear a face covering?

We ask that all visitors wear a mask when visiting the galleries (unless you are exempt). Following guidelines from the government, face masks must be worn for the duration of your visit.

Are toilets available in the galleries?

Unfortunately we do not have toilets which are for use by the public. This is because enclosed communal spaces like toilets are high risk for transmission.

Can I bring young children?

Children are welcomed to the gallery, but must have a separate ticket, unless they are under 2 years of age. Please be aware that, Ajamu: Archival Sensoria, contains nudity and sexual content - discretion is advised.

Can I come as part of a group?

There are 8 spaces available for each slot. If you are part of the same household and exceed the available capacity of 8, please contact [email protected] to see if we can accommodate you. Please leave your name and contact phone number in the email so we can contact you.

How will you manage social distancing in the space?

We are restricting visitor numbers at any given time.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

We do not have baby changing facilities.

Is seating available inside the galleries?

Seating has been removed to allow social distancing measures to be put in place. However, if you have any access requirements, please contact [email protected] so we can make arrangements for your visit.
