Cruising Sensoria is a workshop conceived by Black Fly Zine, a collective and publication centring sexual health/well-being/sexual positivity for black folx and POC, in response to Ajamu: Archival Sensoria.

What pleasures are available when we abandon language, and instead foreground touch, non-linguistic sound and embodied gestures? What desires can we share and discover? Who can we be and what can we create together?

For one evening, Black Fly Zine invites you to explore live cruising and serendipitous connection. Mapping the gallery space with interactive non-verbal sensory interventions, we’ll encounter each other against sexy and loving renditions of Black queer life.

Attend with curiosity, openness and a willingness to experience other humans and textures. Activities will be revealed on arrival, all activities will be covid safe. Spaces for the workshop are very limited and are specifically for LGBTQ+ Black or people of colour. Please book your place here, and only book if you are sure you are able to attend.

Ajamu: Archival Sensoria is curated by Curatorial Fellows Languid Hands and is supported by The Arts Council England.
